How it happened

Scoreless through four innings, the Golden Eagles were first on the board with a pair of runs in the top of the fifth. A two-out two-RBI single from Phil Krpata knocked in Anselmo Joya and Joe Sanguedolce who reached to start the inning

The Cougars got one back in the bottom half of the inning from an RBI double off the bat of Tyler Stone

Three unearned runs in the bottom of the sixth put Kean ahead 4-2

St. Joseph's cut the deficit to one, 4-3, when Nick Vicino knocked in Ryan Decoursey in the top of the eighth

The Golden Eagles had two runners on to start the top of the ninth, but they were left stranded and Kean came away with the 4-3 win
