The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) men's lacrosse team falls to Manhattanville College on Wednesday evening.

How it happened:

The Golden Eagles opened the game with two quick goals on behalf of Strayer and Carere until the Valiants answered with a goal from Dash Munson with SJLI taking the first quarter 2-1

In the second quarter Manhattanville put up the first two scoring chances with Sean Larkin scoring a man-up goal and Nick Cornelia scoring at the 9:48 mark, St. Joseph's responded with two goals of their own retaking the lead 4-3

The remainder of the second quarter saw Manhattanville outscore SJLI 4-2 in the quarter as they took a 7-6 lead heading into the second half

While the game remained close the Valints began to pull away in the third quarter scoring six unanswered goals with Cornelia scoring two in the final two minutes

The final frame saw Manhattanville build on their lead as they again scored six unanswered goals, as they went on a 12-0 run in the second half before Amato scored with 39 seconds remaining in the game
