Bessarabov went 3-0 at No. 3 singles and won all three of his doubles matches at the No. 2 flight as Farmingdale State registered victories over Sage (8-1), NYU-Poly (8-1) and Purchase (7-0)…did not lose a game on Apr. 10 against Purchase and dropped just one game on Apr. 14 versus Sage…earned a hard-fought 0-6, 6-2, 6-1 decision on Apr. 13 against NYU-Poly…boasts an 8-0 record at No. 3 singles and an 8-0 mark at second doubles on the year.

Men's Tennis Rookies of the Week
Mike Balokoz – Mount Saint Mary
Freshman, Milford, CT/Notre Dame West Haven HS
Balokoz earned wins at fourth singles and No. 2 doubles on Apr. 13 as Mount Saint Mary remained perfect in league play with a 5-4 win victory over Purchase…notched a 6-3, 6-0 win in singles competition and an 8-4 decision in doubles play.

Steven Fox – St. Joseph's-L.I.
Freshman, Miller Place, NY/Connetquot HS
Fox compiled a 4-0 mark in singles and doubles play as St. Joseph's-L.I. posted wins over Sage (7-0) and Yeshiva (6-3)…notched a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles and an 8-0 win at third doubles on Apr. 10 versus Sage…earned a 7-5, 7-5 win at sixth singles and an 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles on Apr. 14 against Yeshiva.
