The St. Joseph's University (L.I.) men's basketball team snapped a three-game losing skid with a 71-49 Skyline Conference win over Farmingdale State College in the Danzi Center on Saturday afternoon.
Top performers:

Sophomore Alec Tabada went 7-for-13 from the field and scored a game-high 19 points with five rebounds, two assists, and a block to lead the Golden Eagles

Junior Xavier Allen added 14 points and collected a game-high 12 boards

Junior Spencer Malloy finished with a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds

Freshman Justin Turner rounded out the top scorers with 10 points going 3-for-3 from the field and 2-for-2 at the free-throw line

How it happened:

A layup from FSC's Davis off an SJLI turnover gave the Rams their largest lead of the afternoon, 14-10, at the 8:55 mark

That score held for the next minute before Turner sparked a 6-0 run that put the Golden Eagles ahead 18-14 with just under five minutes left in the half

A pair of Farmingdale free throws brought the visitors to within three, 23-30, but a three from Matthew Hirdt sent the Golden Eagles into the break leading 26-20

St. Joseph's opened the second frame with 10 unanswered points capped by a Jake Gaudiello layup at the 16:13 mark

Farmingdale crept to within 10, 38-28, following a pair of free throws from Jevon Santos, but back-to-back buckets from Malloy and Ryan McNeely had the Golden Eagles ahead 42-28 with 12:23 on the clock
